Mrs. Joan Prewett, age 73 of Acworth, Georgia, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born April 3, 1943 in Acworth, she was the daughter of the late Howard Shelton and Maudie McCollum Shelton. Mrs. Prewett was a homemaker and was a member of the New Covenant Church in Cartersville.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Greg Roberson will officiate with the interment to follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include HER HUSBAND of 56 Years, Joel A. Prewett of Acworth, Ga.;  TWO SONS, Joel Anthony Prewett of Acworth, Ga.; Victor Brannon Prewett of Acworth, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Brannon Prewett, Tiffany Prewett and Levi Prewett; GREAT-GRANDSON. Emanuel; TWO SISTERS, Gwen Goss of Emerson, Ga.; Kathy Vaughn of Cartersville, Ga.; ONE BROTHER, Sonny Shelton of Cartersville, Ga.; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service.
