Jo Ann Franklin McElreath, 72, of Marietta, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 after a seven-year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).  She was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma and grew up in Cobb County, Georgia.  She was an honor graduate from Campbell High School, Class of 1963 and married her high school sweetheart.  She completed her MBA from Kennesaw State University in 1994.  She was an active member at Eastside Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Woodstock.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Nick McElreath; daughters, Kim Kranzlein and husband Kevin, Dr. Angela McElreath Ojibway and husband Brady; grandchildren, Anna Parker and her husband Nick, Michael Kranzlein, Jessica Kranzlein, Bethany Kranzlein, Sydney Ojibway, Kaylen Ojibway, and Brayden Ojibway; brother, Larry W. Franklin and wife Chris; and niece, Lauren Franklin-Rodriguez and her husband Gus, and numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Marietta Funeral Home and 9:00 to 10:00am on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at First Baptist Church Woodstock in the chapel.  A funeral service will follow at First Baptist Church Woodstock on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00am with Rev. John Pope and Buddy Hulsey officiating.  Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park and Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia.
