Jesse H. "James" Thompson's Obituary
Jesse H. "James" Thompson, 79, of Acworth, died Sunday, September 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Wednesday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. C. E. Wilkey officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Memorial Park. Mr. Thompson was born in Atlanta and had lived in Acworth for 35 years. He was a retired flooring installer and a member of Full Gospel Apostolic Church in Kingston. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Beth Thompson and is survived by his sons, Barron Scott Thompson of Covington and Myron Stephen (Amy) Thompson of Acworth; grandchildren, Crystal and Steven Thompson, Sharon Petry, Sheree Thompson, Sarah Thompson, and Heather and Rachel Bryans; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Doug Thompson of Monroe; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
