Jerry Gray Willis, 66, of Acworth, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Willis, the Rev. Brian Cox, and Rev. Donnie Summey officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia National Cemetery, Canton at 2:30 pm. A native of Aragon, Mr. Willis had lived in Acworth for most of his lift. He served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Emerson. Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Kerry and Perry Willis and is survived by his son, Shane (Cindy) Willis of Acworth; parents, Harold and Frances Willis of Acworth; grandchildren, Ashley Almond, Brittany Hawk, Tiffany Parker, Lindsey Parker, and Bailey Willis; great grandchildren, Hagen Almond, Zyne Almond, and Karson Hawk; sisters, Paulette (Philip) Miller and Elaine (Tommy) Anglin both of Rydal; brothers, Steve (Linda) Willis and Bobby Willis both of Acworth; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral on Tuesday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
