Jerry Wayne Tidwell's Obituary
Jerry Wayne Tidwell, 61, of Acworth, died Friday, February 24, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 Tuesday morning in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Fain officiating. Mr. Tidwell was born in Cartersville and had lived in the area for most of his life. He was an employee of Randy Carden Livestock and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Tidwell like to play darts and softball and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, University of Georgia football, and the Atlanta Falcons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Lee and Lillie Hite Tidwell and is survived by his daughter, Ellisa (Andrew) Poe of N. Charleston, SC; grandsons, Kristopher Poe and Hudson Poe, both of N. Charleston; brothers, Bobby (Diane) Tidwell of Lithia Springs and Darrell Tidwell of Chatsworth; sisters, Donnie Bennett and Judy Morgan, both of Acworth; several beloved nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
