Jean Craig Smith's Obituary
Jean Craig Smith, 81, of Acworth, died Monday, February 8, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Friday morning in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Dino Trapp and the Rev. Bradford Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. A native and lifelong resident of Acworth, Mrs. Smith retired from National Screen Service in Smyrna after 21 years of service. She was a member of the Acworth Christian Church, the Lockheed Retirees Group, the Carrie Dyer Women's Club, and the Yah Yah Senior Citizens Group. Jean's love was oil painting on canvas and her paintings have brought much pleasure and enjoyment to many, many people throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her sons, James A. Craig and Russell J. Craig and is survived by her children, Frank E. Craig, Margaret Craig, and Sibyl Bonner, all of Acworth; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Sibyl Daniel of Acworth; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
