J.B. Kendall, 85, of Marietta, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 5 at 2pm at North East Piney Grove Baptist Church, 3277 Post Oak Tritt Road, Marietta, GA 30062. Burial will follow at North East Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Kendall was a native of Lumpkin County and moved to Marietta in 1949. He worked for General Motors for 47 years in the paint department before retiring in 1997. He was a deacon of North East Piney Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Kendall is survived by his wife, Drusilla Kendall; daughter, Donna Shaw, of Marietta; sons, Terry Kendall, of Roswell and Ronnie Kendall, of Marietta; step daughter, Pam Tanner, of Dahlonega; step sons, Jeffery Tritt, of Gainesville and Mark Tritt, of Ellijay; sisters, Lela Bell Crenshaw, of Oakwood, Estelle Bagwell of Oakwood, and Hazel Collins, of Gainesville; 6 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4 at Marietta Funeral Home. The remains will be at the church at 1pm.
