Janet Sherry Honea, 69, of Rockmart, formerly of Cobb County, died Saturday, April 20, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Thursday morning in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Woodruff officiating.  Interment Georgia National Cemetery at 11:00 on Tuesday, April 30 ^th .  A former resident of Cobb County, Mrs. Honea had lived in Rockmart for 16 years.  She retired as a case worker from Cobb County DFACS.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lofton Honea and is survived by her daughter, Kerry (Aaron) Akers of Acworth; son, Shane (Angel) Honea of Rockmart; grandchildren, Erinn, Christopher, Ethan, Emma, Seth, and Jaylen; brother, Bobby (Gayle) Pope of Florida; sister, Brenda Pope of Acworth; sister in law, Tami (Ronnie) Chapman of Acworth; several nieces and nephews also survive.
