On October 6, Jane Landess, 81, of Acworth, Ga, passed away peacefully with her beloved husband, daughter, and son by her side.

Jane was born July 10, 1943 to Clarence and Maxine Crouse. She married the love of her life, Ken Landess in 1961 and raised 2 daughters. Growing up, Jane's grandfather enjoyed taking pictures of her many moods and faces. Jane was a thinker - always asking questions to better understand the world around her. It was not a surprise when she earned her Masters in Education from Ball State University. Jane had a passion for service to others and fulfilled her calling by teaching for 30 years. She spent 4 years teaching in Indiana and 26 years in Georgia. She was a master of creating centers and departing knowledge and confidence in her students. Jane knew she was helping to create the leaders of tomorrow.

Jane loved her garden and her flowers, quilting, scrapbooking, making her house a home. Above all, she cherished time with family.

She is survived by her husband Ken, daughter Patricia, son Louis, her grandchildren Jill, Amanda, Shelby, John, and her great-grandchildren Cedrick and Chloe.

Jane has joined God's Garden. Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, October 19th, 1-4 at the family's residence. Friends and family are invited to drop in for finger foods, smiles, and to share memories of Jane.
