James Leonard "J.L." Wilbur, 79, of Rockmart, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022.  Funeral services will be held, 2:00pm Tuesday afternoon, May 31, 2022, in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.  J.L. was a Vietnam Veteran in the Army and retired after 28 yrs. as a mechanic at Boomershine Pontiac.  He enjoyed farming and gardening, loved raising his cattle, hunting and fishing.  J.L. was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Wilbur and daughter, Melissa Curtis.  He is survived by his grandson, James Wilbur of Rockmart; brother Melvin Wilbur of Acworth; son-in-law, Barry Curtis of Rome.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00-2:00 prior to the service.
