Rev. James F. Cavitt's Obituary
Mr. Cavitt had pastored many churches in his life, including Awtry Baptist, Iron Hill Baptist, Hickory Grove Baptist, New Light Baptist, and Pleasant Hill Baptist.
Mr. Cavitt is preceded in death by his wife , Mary Swafford Cavitt. He is survived by son, Dr. Ronald E. Cavitt, of Acworth; Grandchildren, Stephanie Cavitt Hopper (James), of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Christopher R. Cavitt (Kim), of Huntsville, Alabama, Katie Cavitt Bonds (Randall), of Huntsville, Alabama; as well as 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, September 4th at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N. Main St. Acworth, GA 30101, and from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday September 5th at Awtrey-Westwood Baptist Church. Online condolences may be expressed at
