Jack Lewis' Obituary
Jack Lewis, 89, of Acworth, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 30th at the graveside in Liberty Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Brown officiating. A native and lifelong resident of Acworth, Mr. Lewis served his country in the US Army and the US Air Force, during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of Sears Roebuck and a member of the Acworth United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Evangeline Lewis; daughter, Betsy Brown and grandson, Sam (Kim) Brown, all of Acworth; great grandchildren, Lauren Brown, Lindsay Brown, Jett Brown, Ben Brown, and Nick Brown; great great grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Ryan Cox, and Luke Brown; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wellstar Community Hospice 4040 Hospital West Drive Austell, GA 30106. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:30 AM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
