Rev. Jack Daniel's Obituary
Rev. Jack Daniel, 78, of Acworth, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Wilson, Rev. Bryan McGarity, and Rev. David Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. Rev. Daniel was born in Acworth and lived here for most of his life. He retired from the US Navy after 20 years of service and was then employed as a supervisor for Qualco Casting in Acworth. He preached the gospel for 38 years and was a former pastor and current member of New Light Baptist Church. Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Barbara Daniel of Acworth; children, Donna (George) Howard of Ball Ground, David (Beverly) Daniel of Acworth and Jeff Daniel, also of Acworth; grandchildren, Ashley Daniel Pham, Rachel Parris Bailey, Derek Daniel, Brittany Daniel, and Zeke Howard; great grandsons, Brantley Bailey and Grant Daniel; siblings, Charles (Sibyl) Daniel of Acworth, Herbert Noel (Faye) Daniel of Hartwell, GA, and Merle Emory of Canton; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
