Jack J. Cook, Sr.'s Obituary
Jack J. Cook, Sr., 84, of Marietta, died Saturday, April 28, 2018. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at Noonday Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. George Barnett and Rev. Larry Sandiage officiating. Mr. Cook will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. He was retired from the National Elevator Industry and was a member of Noonday Baptist Church of 59 years. The Gentle Giant has passed, who was preceded in death by daughter Laura Sue Cook and is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Iris Cook of Marietta; children, Wanda (Steve) Rowe, Rose Harvey both of Woodstock and Johnsey (Pamela) Cook of Marietta; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Frances McClellan of Marietta and Jean (Frank) Cooper of Atlanta; along with many nieces & nephews to cherish his memory. His wishes, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Noonday Baptist Church, Building Fund, 4121 Canton Rd., Marietta, GA 30066. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Marietta Funeral Home. Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta, GA 30066, 770-422-1234.
