Mrs. Irene Fowler Miller, age 94, of Acworth passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023.

Mrs. Miller was born on May 1, 1928 in Cartersville, GA to the late Mr. Barney Fowler and the late Mrs. Perlie Snow Newberry Fowler. Irene was retired with Southern Bell, after being the first woman to ever work the Frame in the State of Wyoming. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She loved everyone and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a sweet soul who never met a stranger. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, Braves Baseball, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Miller.

Survivors include her son, Brett S. Miller (Cindy) of Acworth; two granddaughters, Kasey McFarland (Adam) of Jasper and Kelly Partin (Jeff) of Acworth; two great-grandsons, Clay Thomas McFarland of Jasper and Colt Garrett McFarland of Jasper; one great-granddaughter, Afton Snow Partin of Acworth; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Misty, Tristan, Debra, and all the caregivers at Burnt Hickory Residences. As well as her nurse Sherry, and all the caring staff of Amedisys Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 9:00am from the Chapel of Collins Funeral with Rev. Rex Cox officiating. Interment to follow at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 8:30am until 9:00am.

The family respectfully asks that everyone coming to the funeral home please wear a mask.
