Mr. Henry "Gerald" Griffin, age 84, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. He was born in Waxhaw, North Carolina to the late Marshall and Mary Griffin.

The funeral service for Mr. Griffin will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 1:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, 3800 New Hope Church Rd SE, Acworth, GA 30102. The family will receive visitors at New Hope Baptist Church from 11:00AM until the start of the service at 1:00PM. Burial will be immediately following the service at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.

When Gerald wasn't working as a truck driver he would enjoy golfing, playing solitaire or canasta with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Marie Tidwell Griffin; children, Dawn Merritt and Gerald Griffin; and his brothers, Tommy Griffin and Ray Griffin. Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly (Wendell) Mullis of Locust, NC; son, Mark (Angela) Griffin of Marshville, NC; stepson, Bill (Debbie) Oliver of Cartersville, GA; stepdaughter, Donna (Richard) Hall of Blue Ridge, GA; stepdaughter, Pam Walker of Acworth, GA; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers are: Travis Merritt, Austin Merritt, Jarett Hall, Matthias Hall, Jay Miles and Billy Oliver.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Mr. Griffin's honor to the New Hope Baptist Building Fund.
