Grady Hilton Chandler, Jr. formerly of Acworth and Marietta, GA, died at his home on March 10, 2022, in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Grady or Hilton (depending on how you knew him), was born on June 23,1941 in Acworth, GA to Polly and Grady Chandler.  He graduated from North Cobb High School, served in the US Army as an MP, and retired from Lockheed Martin as a Manager in Production Control.

He is survived by his wife Diane who loved him dearly, sister Joan Boyer (Richard), brother Mike Chandler (Linda), daughter Melissa Stewart (Jim), grandchildren Drew, Chandler, Davis, and stepson John Davis.  He is also survived by his son's widow Jackie Chandler, her children Stacey, Mandy, and Matt, step grandchild Madison Taylor, and 5 step great grandchildren, plus nieces and nephews, Chandler, Michelle, John, and Mei.

He is preceded in death by his father Grady Hilton Chandler, mother Polly Chandler, and son Kelly Chandler.

He led a full life, golfing, riding his Harley, fishing, boating, water skiing, playing poker, walking on the beach, eating good food, and watching vintage westerns.  He enjoyed active service with the American Legion Post 29 in Marietta for over 59 years.  He especially enjoyed getting together with family and friends. He bravely fought heart disease and the battle with cancer that took his life.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm preceding the memorial service at 3:00 on Sunday April 3, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Acworth, GA.  In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the American Cancer Society.
