Obituary

Grady B. Gee, 91, of Acworth, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in the Acworth Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Fred Boozer and the Rev. Greg Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. He will lie in state at the church for 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Gee was born February 6, 1924 in Acworth, GA. With the exception of his years in military service, he lived in Acworth for his entire life. He was a proud veteran of WW II, serving in the Army Air Corps and later in the US Air Force. He was a proud graduate of the Greenleaf School of Business in Atlanta. He ran several businesses over the years from a restaurant to an accounting and tax service. Mainly, he was in the insurance business and retired from Prudential Insurance Company. He loved baseball and golf. Mostly and always, he was a good man. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Willie Mae Gee, son, Charles B. Gee, and brother, Douglas Gee. Surviving are his son, Bob Gee and grandsons, Alex Gee and Will Gee, all of Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Acworth Presbyterian Church 4561 Church St. Acworth, GA 30101. Online condolences may be expressed at www.collinsfuneralhome.org.
