Grace L. Tisdale, age 98 of North Augusta, S. C. went gladly to be with her Lord Jesus in Heaven, Tuesday August 25, 2015. Born October 1, 1916 in Augusta, GA, she was the tenth child of Daisy Williams Lundy and Robert Glover Lundy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Wilbur Reginald Tisdale. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and John Marbert of Marietta, GA and Rachel and Mark Calhoun of Panama City Beach, FL. Grandchildren, Cathy Miannay (Doug) and John W. Marbert, Debbie Bellah (Kenny), Marc Blount, Wayne Blount, and Beverly Selby. She is also survived by ten Great-grandchildren and one Great-great-grandchild. She worked all her life from age 16 till age 88 when she became legally blind from macular degeneration. She was a sales clerk in two jewelry stores in Augusta, GA, Friedman's Jewelers and Stanley Jewelers. She also was an insurance agent. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church of North Augusta, SC. Grace loved the lord and would tell all she encountered about Him. She was an avid bridge player even after losing her sight. She would stand up to see the cards, seeing them only peripherally. She loved to laugh and loved people and never met a stranger. Her children and grandchildren loved to play games with her as she was fun and a sharp competitor. Funeral Services will be held at Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd. Marietta, GA, on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11am. The family will be receiving friends from 10am to 11am prior to the service. Interment will be Sunday, August 30 at Pineview Memorial Garden, 450 W. Five Notch Rd., North Augusta, SC. at 2:00 pm.
