Grace "Inez" Hembree, 98, of Acworth, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Tuesday morning in the New Hope Baptist Church, Bartow County, with the Rev. Brad Dewberry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hembree will lie in state at the church for 1 hour prior to the funeral service. A native of Acworth, Mrs. Hembree worked for many years at Unique Knitting Mill and retired from Holeproof Knitting Mill. She was the oldest member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Hembree, parents, John and Vineta Craig, and brothers, Buck and George Craig. Surviving are her brother, J. W. Craig of Oklahoma; nieces, Carol Craig Morris of Texas; Myra Priest, Bessie Bannister, Ann Tucker, Bobbie Jean Abernathy, Linda Tinell, and Doris Ross; nephews, Jack McClure, Marvin Maddox, Ray Hembree, and Bill Hembree; grandniece, Robin Morris Horstmeyer; grandnephews, Craig Morris, Tracey Morris, and Russell Morris; special friend of Earn and Inez, Jerry Bearden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Hope Cemetery Fund c/o Dillard Meador 6487 Yacht Club Dr. Acworth, GA 30102.
