George Thomason, 87, of Kennesaw, died Monday, February 10, 2020.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney King officiating.  Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.  Mr. Thomason was born in Ball Ground and had lived in Kennesaw for most of his adult life.  He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired as a self employed truck driver.  George was preceded in death by his children, Jimmy Claude Adam "Bud" Thomason and Mary Ruth "Ruthie" Thomason.  He is survived by his children, Travis Thomason of Cartersville, Douglas Thomason of Kennesaw, and Marie Thomason Dixon of Dallas; 2 grandsons, James Thomason and Jared Thomason.
