Garry Otto Brookshire, 64, of Cartersville, died Sunday, November 17, 2019.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Friday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Lewis officiating.  Mr. Brookshire was born in Texas and had lived in Cartersville for the past 5 years.  He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.  Surviving are his wife, Tammy Brookshire of Cartersville; children, Misty Brookshire of Cartersville, Michael Brookshire of Acworth, James House of Dallas, and Marie Emory of Cartersville; brothers, Wayne Brookshire and Tony Brookshire, both of Acworth; sister, Joann Lee of Hiram; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 on Thursday evening at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
