We are sad to announce that Gail Harris of Powder Springs passed away on February 8, 2023, after a brief illness.

Gail was a sweet, caring person who was loved by everyone who knew her. She was born on January 30, 1940 in LaGrange and was raised by her Aunt and Uncle who she considered her Mom and Dad.

She spent the better part of 20 years working at Cobb General Hospital (now known as Wellstar) and after retirement worked as a substitute teacher in the Cobb County School District. She was well respected and admired by her co-workers and supervisors.

Gail enjoyed the Georgia weather and loved sitting on her porch visiting with her friends and family. She was known to love a good shopping adventure and couldn't resist buying a purse or pair of shoes to add to her large collection of both. Her granddaughters were her world, and she cherished the time she spent with them.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband of 64 years Ron Harris of Powder Springs, son Tim and his wife Cindy of Queensbury, NY, her granddaughters who affectionately called her DaDa, Victoria of Albany, NY, and Alli of Queensbury, NY plus several family members and many friends.

A private celebration of her life will be held in March.
