Fred "Boom Boom" Tomlinson, age 76, of Kennesaw passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023. Fred was born on December 22, 1946 in Fort Fairfield, Maine to the late Mr. Rodney Hillman Tomlinson and the late Mrs. Alice Czajkowski Tomlinson. Fred was an avid golfer. He married his wife, Phyllis on June 20, 1964. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Glynn, Alice Holland, and Lenore Erland.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Tomlinson of Kennesaw; daughter, Betty-Jean McCoy of Acworth; son, Frederick Peter Tomlinson of Kennesaw; brother, Rodney Tomlinson (Sonia) of Sebastian, FL; sister, Brenda Prestano (Sammy) of Punta Gorda, FL; three grandchildren, Trent McCoy, Ansley Tomlinson, and Austin Tomlinson; as well as numerous neices and nephews also survive.

Fred's passion was the game of golf. When he moved to Georgia, he immediately joined Pinetree County Club, where he got his nickname "Boom Boom" from his long-time friend Geoff Gillon because Fred always hit the ball a long way.
