Rev. Fred Baxter Boozer, age 77, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017.

Born in Menlo, Georgia, he was the son of the late Rev. David and Juliette Boozer. Fred was a graduate of Davidson College and Columbia Seminary. He served faithfully over 40 years in his ministry. Fred was also preceded in death by sister, Jeanette and brother, John.

Survivors include – HIS WIFE, Louise Boozer of Acworth, Ga.; Daughter and Son-In-Law, Amanda Carter (Duane) of Chaphin, S.C. Son and Daughter-In-Law, Fred Boozer, Jr. (Regina) of Rockmart, Ga.; Grandson, Justin Lyons and Derek Lyons; Great-Grandchildren, Julia, Cohen and Sawyer. Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, David Boozer (Patricia) of Marietta, Ga.; Danny Boozer (Lynn) of Loganville, Ga.;

At his request, Rev. Boozer was cremated. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Acworth Presbyterian Church, 4561 Church St., Acworth, Georgia 30101, the Rev. Greg Moore will officiate.
