Emil Bracone, 69, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.  Emil was born in New York, NY on September 3, 1948, the son of Victor and Anna Bracone.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eileen Mary Bracone, and their beloved dogs, Sadie and Cooper.

Emil is survived by his loving children:  Matthew (Michele) Bracone of Patchogue, NY; Maria Bracone of Patchogue, NY; Christine (Cory) Deppen of Acworth, GA; Michael (Brenda) Piazza of Spring Hill, FL; Alison (Clay) Rollins of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren:  Anthony Bracone, Justin & Samantha Bracone, Raymond & Alexander Piazza, Katelyn Rollins; sister Concetta Bracone; and cousin Deborah (Steve) Chiesa.

Emil was a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Navy and a volunteer firefighter whose professional life spanned various industries, from banking to healthcare.  He was also known to pick up second jobs as needed to better support his family.  After retiring from WellStar as a Supervisor of the laundry department, he continued to work at Kennestone Hospital as a parking attendant.  He enjoyed friendships through playing pool and he regularly attended church services at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta.

Emil was a devoted family man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much.  He coached baseball and attended every recital.  He took his kids to baseball games and taught them to love the Mets.  When he was promoted to Grandpa, he loved to spoil his grandkids with love, attention, and gifts.  He was always very generous and willing to help anyone.  He had a kind and gentle soul, and he always put everyone else first.

Emil loved animals, sports, Jekyll Island, food, and good deals.  But most of all, he loved being a husband, dad, grandfather, and friend.  He had the biggest heart, which led him to make friends wherever he went.  He was loved by everyone, but no one more than his family.  His legacy will live on through his family and friends, and he will never be forgotten.  The family finds peace in knowing he has been reunited with his beloved wife, Eileen, in Heaven, and they are able to watch over their loved ones together.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marietta, GA 30060.
