Eltha "Patsy" Hughes peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Patsy was born and raised in Acworth, Georgia on February 28, 1932. Along with spending time with family and friends, Patsy enjoyed being a caregiver to many children in the community. She attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church for many years and had a passion for gospel music. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Henry Garrison; husband, Denver Dee Hughes Sr; sister, Edna Carruth, brother-in-law, Ernest Carruth; son-in-law, Timothy Taylor.

Survivors include her four children, Denver Hughes Jr. (Barbara), Davey Hughes, Patti Brock (Michael), and Penni Taylor; sister, Doris Dulaney (Bruce); seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hughes will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Willis and Pastor Gene Powell officiating. Interment to follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 11th from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.

Michael Brock, Dustin Brock, Brandon Hughes, Doug Hughes, Randy Dulaney, and Zachary Pritchard will serve as pallbearers.
