Elsie Elizabeth Martin, 89, of Acworth, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 Friday afternoon, April 5th, in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with Father Benedict officiating. Ms. Martin was a native of County Wexford, Ireland and had lived in Acworth for a number of years. She made sure to always honor her Irish heritage and made the very best Shepard's Pie around. Formerly employed as a nursing assistant and nursery school teacher, she will forever be remembered as a caring, compassionate person who used her talents to nurture the lives of others.

Ms. Martin loved butterflies, cats, flowers, and her family, most of all. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Trinity. Ms. Martin is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Martin. She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Rivera and Margaret Piselli, and also by her grandchildren, Raymond, Allie, Jazzi, and Robbie.
