Eddie Brookshire's Obituary
Eddie Brookshire, 65, of Acworth, died Friday, August 5, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday August 15th at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Mr. Brookshire was born in Cartersville but lived in Acworth for most of his life. He was a graduate of North Cobb High School and served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. Eddie was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his son, Jeremiah (Stephanie) Brookshire of Taylorsville; daughter, Brandy Kerr of Adairsville; granddaughter, Kayleigh Abigail Brookshire of Taylorsville; brothers, Ricky Brookshire of Austell, Don (Beverly) Brookshire of Kennesaw, and Sammy (Janice) Brookshire of Acworth; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Monday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
