Obituary

Earl Dorsey Smith ? , 62, of Marietta, died Thursday, July 14, 2016.  A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, July 17 at 2pm at the Smith Residence.

Mr. Smith was a United States Army Veteran and a Mason . He attended Jackson County Junior College and Jones County Junior College and worked as a pipe fitter, welder, and master un-restricted plumber.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loving his family and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Command Sargent Major James Allen Smith, Ruth Thornton Mullen & Wayne Mullen. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Graham Smith; daughters, Mary Alice Smith Craig & husband Larry Michiael Craig Jr., Dorothy Smith Willingham & husband Ronny Willingham Jr; son Jimmy Wayne Smith & wife Faith Carter Smith; grandchildren, Larry Michael Craig III, Justin Louis Craig, Keith Charles Lee Jr, Jessica Nell Lee, Ashlyn Nell Lee, Tyler Wayne Smith, Ivey Taylor Smith; great granschildren, Larry Michael Craig, IV, Tucker James Craig; sisters, Nan Pace, Wendy Smith; brother, Eric Mullen; aunt Francis Myers & uncle Dan Thornton along with several nieces, nephews as well as all children that were blessed to know him as Papa Earl.
