Dorothy  Lee  (Brown) Carson, age 94, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday morning August 18, 2017, with her family.

Dorothy, was born in Marietta, Georgia, on September 9, 1922, the daughter of William Carl Brown and Lena L. (Wilson) Brown.   She was predeceased by her husband, Billy Joe Carson, brothers E. T. Brown, William C. Brown, Jr. and Bobby Brown.  Sisters, Mildred Jarrett, Hattie Lee Wigley and Bonnie Wade.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Carson Arrendale, son Bobby Joe Carson, five grandchildren (Kristina, Bobby Jr., Caleb, Kendal and Kilee) and one great grandchild.

Dorothy worked at Lockheed Aircraft for a number of years before starting her family and becoming a devoted mother and homemaker.

After the death of her husband, Dorothy lived at the Henderson Arms Retirement Home in Marietta, Georgia, for a few years, before moving to Dallas, Georgia where she lived with her daughter Brenda.  Brenda and her family provided Dorothy with much loving care in their home during the last years of her life

The Celebration of Dorothy's Life (Funeral) services will be held at 2PM Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the Marietta Funeral Home located at 915 Piedmont Road, Marietta, GA 30066. 770-422-1234

The service will be conducted by Dorothy's nephew, Chris Wade.

Burial to be at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
