Mrs. Doris Louise Tucker, 92 of Acworth died Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Doris was born in Beulah, Mississippi, daughter of the late John and
Sylvania Diffey. She worked her whole career as a registered nurse,
retiring from Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Doris loved flowers and to
garden. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Doris was a
member of Gateway Baptist Church in Acworth. She is preceded in
death by her husband of 49 years, Ivelle Tucker and a son, Stephen
Tucker. Mrs. Tucker is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Cantrell of
Acworth, Anita Jones of Bonaire and Cheryl Cheek of Dahlonega; 2 sons,
Stanley Tucker of Acworth and Craig Tucker of Gaylesville, AL; 1 step-
son, Harold Walter of Nuremberg, Germany; 7 grandchildren, Shelley
Burruto, Jason Cheek, Brandy Murphy, Kerri Davis, Whitney Smith,
Cheyenne Callahan and Colby Cantrell; 8 great-grandchildren,
Madeleine, Patrick, Jasmine, Miles, Maggie, Emmy and Mabel. Funeral
Services will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the
Chapel of Collins Funeral Home in Acworth with Pastor Chuck Smith
officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. The family
will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the
funeral home.
