Obituary

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Derick Pelser, age 49, of Dallas, GA, who went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Derick was a devoted husband, father, and friend. His faith in God was the foundation of his life, and he poured that faith into everything he did.

Derick was a man of many passions and talents. He had an amazing mind. Always solving problem. He had a gift for working with his hands—whether it was woodworking, building drones, or creating their family business.

He found peace in the outdoors, often hunting, fishing, or playing disc golf. Flying drones was one of his favorite hobbies, and he loved both the challenge of building them and the thrill of watching them take flight.

Above all else, Derick was a family man. He cherished time with his wife and children, always making sure they knew how deeply they were loved. His legacy of love, faith, and hard work will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew him.

Derick is survived by his loving wife, Shantel Pelser; his children, Deverick Pelser, Juanrick Pelser, Kendrick Pelser, and Kaylee Pelser, all of Dallas, GA.

A service to celebrate Derick's life will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Northwest Christian Church in Acworth, GA, with Rev. Brent Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:00 PM until the time of service.

Derick will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be a blessing.
