Dene Blake's Obituary
Dene Blake, 91, of Acworth, died Friday, October 13, 2017. A funeral service will be held at Collins Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 12:00pm with Rev. Buddy Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Blake was a member of Acworth Christian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Blake, and daughter Karol Whittle. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Matthews (Mike); sons, Mike Blake, and Greg Blake (Susan); grandchildren, Stephanie Pilgrim, Jessie Black, Geoffrey Matthew Blake, Amanda Gossett, Mike Matthews, Rhonda Smith, Mark Matthews, Matthew Barrett, Christopher Barrett and Scott Whittle; 9 great grandchildren including, Brooke Matthews, Brittney Matthews and Katie Davis; nieces Sarabeth Allen, Amy Mayhall, Janice Cunningham and Pat Israel; and numerous cousins including Woody Lou Chilcoat, Charles Mark Chilcoat and Terry Seymour Chilcoat.
The family will receive friends from 10:30am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Collins Funeral Home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Georgia chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, http://www.alz.org/georgia/
