Debra Gayle Cook passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2022 at the age of 68. She was predeceased by her parents, John Millwood and Betty Hatmaker, her husband, Drew Cook, her brothers, Gerald Cartwright, Phillip Millwood, Johnny Millwood, her sister, Judy Chamness, her daughter, Violet Widner, and her granddaughter, Gracelynn Watson.

Gayle was born in Chamblee, Georgia on April 10, 1954 but was a lifelong resident of Acworth, Georgia. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her fantastic sense of humor and her willingness to do anything for anyone.

She was survived by her daughters, Teresa Shutley (Luke Ventura), Melissa Guise (Zachery Guise), Beatrice Stugart (Matthew Stugart), her best friend and father of her children, Ronald Shutley, her brothers Dale Millwood and Larry Millwood, her sister, Janice Samples, and her grandchildren, Trey Lott, JT Watson, Drew Guise, Madison Manley, Daniel Cook, William Guise, and Isabella Stugart.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home in Acworth, Georgia, 4947 N. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101, 770.974.3133

There will be a visitation on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia.
