Debi Gardner Cobb, 66, of Acworth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 28th at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 N. Main St., Acworth, GA 30101. Family visitation will be from 2-4 and the service will begin at 4. In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations be made to any cancer organization you choose in her honor.

Debi was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 17th, 1957. Raised in Marietta, GA, she attended Wheeler High School where she met her high school sweetheart Bart Cobb. They married at 19 and raised their two kids Jason & Jennifer in Cherokee County. Debi enjoyed working at Boston Elementary for 11 years and being the PTA Secretary. Debi enjoyed playing in softball and bowling leagues alongside Bart. Debi was crafty and loved finding new hobbies from crocheting to making personalized cups. She loved cooking, baking, and taking care of her plants and bird feeders. She loved going to the beach (specifically the gulf!), The Georgia Bulldogs, and anytime she was surrounded by friends and family on the back porch for a nice chat. Her music of choice was 70's rock and she could name any song. She was all about family and spending time with them was when she was happiest. She was cool, she was funny and she was kind. While Debi was her actual name, "Nanny" was her favorite. She was the best Nanny to her 4 grandchildren and if you knew her, you knew she loved her grandkids. All the love she gave them and all the things she taught them will carry on her legacy for generations to come.

Debi is predeceased by her Father, Bernard Gardner; and she left behind her Husband of 46 years, Bart Cobb; Son, Jason Cobb and Wife Vonnie Cobb; Daughter, Jennifer Day; Mother, Charlene Gardner; Brother, Keith Gardner and Wife Bobbie Joe Gardner; Grandchildren, John & Sallie Cobb, Caleb & Ava Day.
