Deacon Harris' smile lit up every room. Garrett Harris had a heart bigger than a house. These two loving brothers, as former members of Allatoona High School's JROTC program, were deeply dedicated to engaging in community service and helping others. As students at Georgia Southern University, Deacon and Garrett were working on their dreams of improving other's lives. Deacon was a leader of young men and an exemplary role model. Garrett went out of his way to ensure everyone felt included and cherished. They were not only brothers, but also best friends. They were loyal and dear friends to many; loving sons and brothers to their family. Through their generosity they taught us that, although life may be fleeting, love is forever. In honor of our boys, we'd like to share one more Fun Fact with them: We will always tolerate you to the moon and back. 2-4-3

Deacon and Garrett were taken from us in the early hours of November 26, 2017.  They were together at the end as they were throughout their lives.

Deacon, 20, and Garrett, 18, are survived by their father Jack Harris, mother Crystal Johnson, stepfather Dan Johnson and their brothers and sister, Walker, Natalie, and Ryder. They are also survived by their grandparents George and Carolyn Garner, Dale and Teresa Willis, and Darlene Lamm, as well as, their beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and a multitude of friends.

A memorial service to honor Deacon and Garrett will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Cauble Park on Lake Acworth in Acworth, Georgia.
