Columbus C. Wilburn's Obituary
Columbus C. Wilburn, 91, of Lithia Springs, died Thursday, August 24, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Guider officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. Mr. Wilburn was born in Winder, and had lived in Lithia Springs for 15 years. He retired from Atlantic Steel after 40 years of employment with the company and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wilburn loved to fish and work in his garden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Wilburn, mother, Buena Vista Wilburn, and sister, Ruby Hyde. Surviving are his sons, William T. "Bill" and Patricia "Patty" Wilburn of Acworth, and James "Jimmy" Wilburn of Lineville, AL; daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" and Ronnie Little of Snellville; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
