Obituary

Clyde H. Hensley, 91, of Marietta.  A loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in Marietta, Ga. Clyde was a longtime employee of Marler Oil Company and later with Crown Petroleum, retiring in 1992.  He was born June 18, 1927 in Winona, Missisippi.

Clyde loved the Lord and cherished his family.  He loved gospel music and played several instruments. The time he spent playing music with his wife, children, grandchildren and in-laws was his passion.  He was a proud veteran of WWII and served in several battle zones while in the Merchant Marines.  Clyde was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church Marietta, Ga.

Surviving is his loving wife of 71 years Evelyn P. Hensley, daughter, Linda H. Dunn (James), son, Larry C. Hensley (Beverly), daughters, Candy R. Bramlett (Mark), Terri F. Brumit (Randy).  Clyde was blessed with 10 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren with one new addition on the way.  Clyde's Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Funeral services 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 2nd at Marietta Funeral Home Marietta, Ga. Visitation, Wednesday August 1st  5:00 - 8:00 PM.  Services will be officiated by Dr. Steve Echols.  A private interment will be held at Georgia National Cemetery Canton, Ga.
