Obituary

Christopher "Chris" Luke, 44, of Acworth, died Saturday, July 30, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 Saturday afternoon, August 6th at North Star Church with Pastor Mike Linch officiating. An Arkansas native, Chris had lived in Acworth for 18 years. He was employed with Gordon Document Printing in Marietta, attended North Star Church, and was a member of Bartlett Lodge #139 F&AM in Hiram. Chris loved sports, especially Georgia Tech football. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Raina Luke of Acworth; children, Kenzie Luke and Canin Luke, both of Acworth; parents, Mike and Paulette Luke of Marietta and Sandra and Ron Halyard of Acworth; grandmother, Helen Luke of Marietta; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Yaarab Temple Hospital Fund c/o Kennesaw Mountain Shrine Club PO Box 496 Marietta, GA 30061. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service on Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at North Star Church 3413 Blue Springs Rd. Kennesaw, GA 30144.   Collins Funeral Home, Acworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
