Obituary

Charlie Daniel Hufstetler, 46, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 14th at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home 4947 N. Main St., Acworth.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00pm on Tuesday evening at Collins, and Wednesday prior to the service. The Rev. Danny Willis will officiate.  Burial will follow the service in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

The man, the myth, the legend.  He loved fishing, spending time outdoors, and having his toes in the sand on a beach somewhere.  He never failed to out-fish most everyone, and always made sure to go on a walk, especially by the lake.  Being a car enthusiast would be an understatement.  He sometimes lived for a good ole hot rod and taught us all about them.

Charlie was a simple, yet complex man. He was a loving father, son, husband, brother, and friend. He loved his family dearly, and never hesitated to make every person in his life feel like family.  He was loyal, very stubborn, and the life of every party, especially the times when it was unexpected. He spent the last of his days doing everything he loved.  He will forever be remembered as the loving man he was.

Mr. Hufstetler was preceded in death by his father, James Charles Hufstetler.  He is survived by his wife, Elaine Hufstetler of Cartersville; children, Tristian Hufstetler (Jordan), Haley Cass (Jacob), and Gavin Hufstetler (Marina); mother, Shirley Hufstetler; siblings, Cheryl Hufstetler, Nancy Clanton (Tony), and Cynthia Bonner (Jason); Nieces and Nephews: Makayla Bowie (Blake), Alexis Clanton (Maddox), Megan Clanton, Isaac Clanton, Milea Bonner, Great Nephew: Barrett Bowie  and cousins also survive.

Collins Funeral home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Charlie Daniel Hufstetler.
