Charles H. Busby, "Charlie" (as he was known by most), 82, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018.  A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 11th at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Marietta Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Girouard officiating.

Charlie was a native of Silsbee, TX, and "almost" a native of Marietta, having called it home since 1977. He was a loving, beloved and devoted Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. He graduated from Lamar Tech in TX in 1956. He proudly served his country in the US Navy for 2 years active duty & 6 years Reserves. He was a faithful and earnest employee of Eastern Airlines for 28 years both in Houston and Atlanta. And, then, retired from the Cobb County School District after 10 years of service.

He was a practical and loyal man who enjoyed being with his wife/family/friends, and being outdoors. Whether playing tennis, pickleball, golf, boating, tinkering with cars or home projects, camping and traveling with his beloved family and friends, he was always ready to go.  Charlie and Carol enjoyed 60 loving years together...with his greatest legacy being his six wonderful grandkids.  With his keen sense of humor and loving, warm nature, he touched so many wonderful lives; and will be greatly missed by those that loved him so.

Charlie is survived by; his wife, Carol Busby; daughter, Stephanie Michaud; sons, Bryan Busby; Ted (Lori) Busby; brother, Richard Busby; Grandchildren; Kyle Busby, Michael Busby, Sierra Michaud, Steve Michaud, Connor Brantley, Griffin Brantley; daughter-in-law, Nora Busby.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 pm prior to the Memorial Service on Saturday, August 11th.
