Bill Batemon of Acworth, GA, passed away on August 10, 2021, after several days at Kennestone Hospital and a brief stay at Tranquility Hospice. Peggy, his wife of 57 years, daughter Meg, and Cooper were at his side. Bill had been in and out of the hospital several times this year. In early March he went into Townsend Park Nursing Home after leaving Kennestone Hospital. There, he developed a serious foot infection that was never controlled and caused unbelievable pain.

Bill was born December 24, 1941, in Howard, Kansas to Floyd and Doris Batemon and had eight brothers and sisters. He served in the Army and was stationed at Fort Benning where he met his wife, Peggy. Bill worked for the Midas franchise around 50 years. He loved to read and watch old westerns on the weekend, but his favorite was to sit on the back porch and watch the birds and the deer with his morning coffee. He always said it was so peaceful.  Bill always worked hard and put his family first. Now it's time for him to rest. He will be so deeply missed, and so deeply loved as long as I have breath in me.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 2:00PM, at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA.
