was born in the Matt Community
,
but
was a lifelong resident of
Acworth. He served his country in the US Army and retired as a
steel pourer
with
Atlantic Steel
.
Ben
was a member of Acworth Lodge #176 F&AM
, American Legion Post #304
and attended
Calvary Baptist Ch
urch. He
was a volunteer with the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery in Suches with special needs children. Ben
is survived by his
daughters
,
Sandy (Jim) Kohler, Debra (David) Fowler both of Acworth and Jackie (Jamie) Pelfrey of Cartersville;
son

,
Randy Turner of Acworth, Jeff Turner of Cartersville and Jed (Danielle) Turner of Woodstock
;
13 grandchildren
