Barry Wayne Schell, 68, of Acworth, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022.  Funeral services will be held, 2:00pm Thursday afternoon in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.  He worked for Big Lots as a Furniture Manager for 12 years and the Acworth Housing Authority in maintenance for 19 years.   Mr. Schell enjoyed studying the bible as well as cooking and baking.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Schell and his son, Barry Wayne Schell Jr.  Surviving include his son, Robert Schell of Acworth; daughter Lagina Schell of Acworth; siblings, Selina (David) Hancock of Canton, Russell (Kelly) Schell of Talking Rock, William (Susan) Schell of Acworth and Dale (Tammie) Schell of Dallas; grandchildren, Sara Goldstein, Alexis Palmer and Alyssa Anderson.  Nieces and Nephews also survive.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 on Thursday prior to the service at  Collins Funeral Home 4947 North Main St. Acworth, GA 30101 770-974-3133.
