Barbara Jean Bunch's Obituary
Barbara Jean Bunch, 88, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Heritage of Brookstone Retirement Community. Barbara was born to the late I.C. Power and Lottie Lucille (Mabry) Power on June 27, 1929 in Marietta, Georgia. She lived in Cobb County and went to Mountain View Elementary School and then graduated from Acworth High School. She worked with Bell Bomber during World War II and worked for Cobb County Board of Education. However, most of her life she was a loving mother and a devoted wife to her husband George Wayne Bunch. She and George fell in love after he came home from WWII and were married on December 25, 1947. They lived in Marietta for over 70 years. Barbara enjoyed sitting on the porch at the cabin in Blue Ridge and at the Heritage. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive guests Monday evening, March 26, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Marietta Funeral Home, 915 Piedmont Rd., Marietta Ga. A service in Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday March 27 th in the Marietta Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM followed by a Committal service at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
Barbara is survived by her sister Patricia Power and her two sons Anthony Wayne Bunch and Randy Iran Bunch and their wives Pamela Sue Bunch and Phyllis Yvonne Bunch; their four grandchildren Matthew Blake Bunch, Tara Bunch Henderson (Martin), Ashley Bunch Henry (Richard) and Caleb Iran Bunch and their two great grandchildren Charlotte Odell Henry and Maddox McCoy Henderson.
