Arthur Leonard Romans, 84, of Marietta, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, in Lake Placid, FL.   B orn in Canton, GA, the Navy veteran worked at Lockheed for 45 years. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and a graduate of Georgia State University.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margie Romans, two daughters (Rita and Wayne Estes of Sebring, FL., and Rena and Greg Noojin of Marietta, GA), four grandchildren (Brad and Maggie Noojin, Steven Estes, Allison Estes and Jennifer Estes), and two great-grandchildren (Hunter Noojin and Georgia Noojin).

He was preceded in death by his parents Daisy and Jim Romans and older brothers, Oliver and Lee.

Visitation will be at Marietta Funeral Home Sunday , April 29, 4:30-6:30 p.m .. Funeral s ervices will be held at Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta, Monday, April 30, at 11 a.m..  The body will lie-in-state from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery.

Thank you to the outstanding medical staff who helped him beat cancer and extend his life 17 years.  The family asks in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center or Eastwood Baptist Church Ministry Expansion Project.
