Anne Marie Sparks, 96, of Kennesaw passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024.  A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00pm in the Polk Memory Gardens 2245 Rockmart Hwy., Cedartown, Georgia 30125 with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating.

After moving to the US  from Forbach, France after WWII,  she married Mayes Givens and had 4 children.  Mayes passed away, and after raising her 4 kids, she married Bill Sparks and moved to the country.  Bill passed away in 1973 and she then moved to Kennesaw where she has lived for the passed 30 years.

Anne loved animals of all kinds and spent her last years enjoying feeding and watching the squirrels and birds in her yard. She was an accomplished needle worker and loved knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She was a great cook and homemaker and for many years living on their country farm, she enjoyed canning and freezing fresh vegetables and tending to the numerous farm animals she and Bill owned.

Anne is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia Guinn (Sam) and Debbie Givens, one son, Barry (Butch) Givens (Janice), grandsons Curry Givens (Jody), Justin Givens and grandaughters Kelli Lenahan and Michelle Givens. She lost her oldest daughter, Ruth Bryson, during the Covid pandemic in 2020. She has 9 great grand children and 5 great great grand children.
