Anne Kathryn
Ferris
Sep 12, 1940 — Dec 31, 2025
Anne Kathryn "Kaki" Herndon Ferris, born September 12, 1940, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, with her devoted husband, Robert E. Ferris, by her side.
Kaki was a woman of true Southern charm—witty, sassy, and full of spunk that could light up any room. Her greatest joys were her family and animals—which she loved fiercely and without reserve.
She delighted in life's simple pleasures: puzzles, watching birds, fishing by the river, and tending her garden, where she knew the name of every plant.
She broke ground as the first female inside sales representative for Cisco and the first woman to demonstrate large-scale cooking in the Fulton County Prison. A talented home chef, Kaki's recipes will live on through generations. Her Mexican Rice, Refried Beans, Cheese Enchiladas, and Chile Rellenos were the "Real Deal!"
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Ferris; brothers James and Thomas Herndon; sons Ramon Pacheco Jr., Michael Pacheco, Steven Pacheco, and Thomas Pacheco; stepchildren Dawn Swainston and Bobby Ferris; grandchildren Monica Pacheco, Daniele Pacheco, Michael Pacheco Jr., Cody Pacheco, Amanda Pacheco Saunders, Sean Pacheco, Arlene Hernandez, Mark Pacheco, and Brianna Pacheco; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She will be missed every single day, but her spirit endures in cherished stories, beloved recipes, and in the way we carry her love forward, honoring her legacy through how we live.
