Adams Toomer, Jr. AKA Buster was born April 24, 1955 in Gary, IN.  He was born 7th child out of 10 born to the late Adams, Sr. and Christine Toomer in Gary, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, October 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00-3:00pm prior to the service.

Adams is a 1973 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Gary, IN.  At an early age, Adams accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior.

Adams attended ITT in Indianapolis where he graduated with his certification in HVAC.  He served in his professional capacity for more than 30 years.  He was first employed with the US Steel Mill for approximately 8 years in Gary, IN and served the rest of his employment with a property management company in Atlanta, GA where he currently resided.

Adams leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Linda Toomer of 37 years, children Delores Goggins, Adams Toomer III, (Dominique Vedrine) Camille Toomer, Stephanie Henry and Yanicet Benites.  His grandchildren are Kirstyn Goggins, Christine and Christopher Moore.  He also leaves siblings Lilly Williams, Barbara Mathis, Minnie Toomer-Darrington, Rosie Toomer, Kathleen Toomer-Jackson, Patricia Gaskin, Christine Lamar, William Toomer, LaTanza Toomer Gallaway and a host of nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by two living aunts, Ernestine Greer and Leola Greer of Gary, IN.

He is preceded in death by parents Adams, Sr., & Christine Toomer, sister Gladys Bolden, grandparents Eddie & Minnie Greer, Reverend William & Mary Toomer, uncle BJ Toomer, Eddie Greer, Jr., Freddie Greer & Roosevelt Greer, and Annie Walker.  He was also preceded in death by Walter Headd (Father-In-Law), Ida B. Headd (Mother-In-Law), Walter Headd, Jr. and Larry Peaches, Jr.

Adams was also very close to his in-laws and leaves to cherish Sandra Nobles, Arthur Headd, Teresa Brokenborough, Debra Roby, Celeste Headd, Regina Headd, Matthew Headd, Kathrine Wesby and a host of nieces and nephews.
